Goodbye Heath Ledger, again (LINK)

July 20th 2008 02:48
This afternoon I went to see a long movie, “The Dark Knight,” Heath Ledger’s last character role was the starring villain known as the Joker. Heath's screen presence was powerful; his portrayal of the Joker character was amazing. Heath’s Joker was dark, funny, menacing and scary. Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of the Joker was always a caricature and funny. Jack is a preeminent actor, capable of manifesting the dark side of his characters and I am a huge fan, but I could nearly feel the presence of darkness in Heath’s portrayal of this Joker.

Sadly, there won’t be a sequel with Heath playing the Joker, but he absolutely redefined the role of the Joker forever and we are all the poorer for the loss of his great talent

Water Fueled Car ~ Sorta

June 15th 2008 18:42
Its Fueled with Water: Fill’er Up with Water Please, this water fueled caris so eco friendly . . .

It's a dream come true for a guy that lives in a coastal rain forest, and grudgingly pays $4.26 a gallon for petrol: A car that uses water, from virtually any origin as a source of fuel. I know what you're thinking, some sick twisted wanker with a ready to burst bladder is just gonna have to pee into the tank to see if it runs ~ we can flog his sorry butt later, well unless it was an emergency of course, but for now, dance in the street. Rejoice. Celebrate freedom from fossil based fuels and pray to whomever that they find a way to make the box of a car look a bit lot more sexier

Diesel Trees

June 6th 2008 23:18
With the price of gas going through the roof, there's been a lot of interest in alternative fuel supplies. For instance, various schemes to use water as a fuel have been getting renewed interest. But a new idea (at least, new to me) is the Diesel Tree. This is a tree that directly produces diesel fuel. All you have to do is tap the tree (just as you would tap a maple tree for its syrup), then fill up your tank with the oil, and you're good to go.

Whats So Pfunny?

May 23rd 2008 11:49
Have you ever heard infectious laughter and couldn't keep yourself from getting caught up with it? It can't be done by this blogger, no way.

Something Cheeky
In the midst of a mind numbing struggle with sleep demons last night, I awoke to find myself levitating about . . . wrong blog, to find myself musing about a story I had heard on Coast to Coast am (C2C am) years ago. Thinking about the story had me choking on my pillow in my failing struggle to stop myself from waking up the missus, because the story is funny and the telling is riotous. And if I can't get no rest, you can't either and besides, my missus exiled me to the couch over this incident and I am still giggling for crying out loud. So, I googled until I found a copy of the story and here it is, lemme know if you like it or even remember it.

A Handgun Comment

April 26th 2008 18:42
Handguns and rifles are tools, they are inanimate and don't kill indiscriminately, its the individual(s) handling or using them that exploit their destructive power. For the most part, they (as a class of weapons) aren't to be found laying about the streets in mainstream America in spite of all the media hype.

Although they might be found laying about in warring regions around the world; the infamous AK-47 is a classic, but we're focusing on the handgun element in the US

Hell Defined . . .

April 11th 2008 02:54
Stomach flu, diarrhea, soil or soiled, poo, crap each an innocuous little word that fails to fully express the hell on earth they can confer onto the target of their attentions. And those unwelcome diverse demon possessed offal offing’s should strike terror into the hearts of all

Let me elaborate and illustrate an atypical encounter with the beast

How we envisioned the lady.
When I was a young teenager, living in Spokane Washington, I knew a lady that had an over flowing garden that was a jungle of brush in the fall and a sheer delight of exotic blooms in the spring. Rumor had it, that the woman that lived there was weird and quite possibly a witch. My siblings and I knew the rumor to be unfounded; she had captured us prowling through her garden, doing what we did best, full on snooping and exploration of the forbidden. She caught us at it, and it was quite a start for us all.

She was wearing house slippers, a loose fitting bathrobe over a nightgown, we kids being unfettered by the rules of civil restraint or slaves to time, were up at the crack of dawn and checking out her garden at what I now realize was an ungodly early morning hour for a night owl, and she didn't appear pleased. Although disheveled in appearance, her faculties, self discipline and civility prevented the instantaneous mass murder we expected. To us, she was indeed a wild eyed maniac at that hour of the morning. To her, we were kids that were trespassing, a new concept to us, but one she explained to us all in very clear language. We protested and bemoaned our situation, hoping for an escape route out of her space, and awaited our fates; the gallows, chopping block or the plank

Super Bowl 2008......I missed it.

February 4th 2008 04:20
OMG, I missed the 2008 SUPER BOWL game by helping a non football watching family with home electrical problems. It’s true, no good deed goes unpunished. I missed the wacko ads, the slams, the blams and half time follies. But worst of all, I missed the hottie babes in hot pants and shoulder pads playing tackle.

So, why were you watching

Goodbye Heath Ledger

January 22nd 2008 22:25
Sadly, 28 years old Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment this afternoon by his housekeeper. Pills were supposedly found scattered in an area in close proximity with his body on his bed. His talent is going to be missed. He was in full cardiac arrest when help arrived. Naturally, they suspect he committed suicide; my question is, Why? Accidental OD, maybe. What are your thoughts?

Update: The autopsy conducted today, didn't produce any obvious results. And may take about a week to be conclusively resolved. What was painfully sad for me was the reaction of his family. His fathers remarks were touching. I feel that his family, Australia and the creative world have all lost a very bright star.

Huh? Iraq Warzone, ...Safe?

January 14th 2008 11:14
Fighting the war in Iraq would be safer for Chinese men than working in the coal mines of China, if what I read in a Yahoo news article this morning is accurate. Reading this brief while quaffing the amber elixir of life, my morning face slapping, butt kicking cup of java, is for me the ritual that starts off a perfect morning.

Apparently 3,800 hundred Chinese men were killed mining in 2007 according to Xinhua News Agency whereas the attrition rate for US soldiers is around that same amount (3921) after four years of warfare. You just know these Chinese fellas would like the odds in Iraq better
