Your considered argument is still lacking; my point is simply that Bush has out maneuvered and out thought some of the brightest minds in the world.
When such a man, the worlds great pundits perceive as an absolute buffoon is able to do this on a regular basis, isn't that an indicator that perhaps there is more to the man and his abilities.
Response: I do not unilaterally endorse Bush, and I am neither a Red Neck conservative nor a No Neck metro liberal; I am a person who is expecting more depth from you.
So, curios, I goaded you (with my first comment), to see how you would respond; what I got was a reaction, pontification and posturing designed to intimidate me into acquiescing to your view point. Would you like a tree limb to beat the brush with?
Response: In keeping with that vein of reasoning isn’t it safe to say that because there isn't any overwhelming evidence controverting hearsay postulated as fact, that you are not a pontificating, flatulent, Red Neck neophyte and No Neck flaccid metro liberal, that I should consider the possibility that it is true?
There is no compelling evidence that contests the argument that I can research and verify from my house.
Response: Why is the fact that a challenge wasn’t proffered indicative of anything other than what it is, a non response. Do newfound psychic abilities allow you unfettered access into the mind of Bush?
Since when did you become privy to a stream of unfiltered, unaltered, unspun, unbiased media feeds with information supplied directly to you concerning, the CIA, Scooter, Cheny and Bush concerning this matter?
Response: You are effectively casting your opinion about as you would a vote, so don’t claim neutrality and impartiality. Party loyalties are not the point, it’s your insistence to parrot liberal news sources without question, and therefore I see you as being in lockstep with the liberal news media that absolutely does have an agenda; to vilify an administration that won’t cater to them.
Simply put, a profit motivated ploy: keep a pot stirred that has become quite a cash cow for them; you want cheap promotion, attack Bush. It sells news and that increases profits and profits expands the media’s influence and power.
In short Damo, I respect your intellect, but disagree with the premise of this particular argument. History will be a very long time sorting out the legacy of Bush and even then, the accuracy of the report will biased in one form or another.
Now, who else would like to share insights on this?

I am also happy to read evidence that shows that Scooter, Bush and Cheney had nothing to do with outing their own CIA agent. But due to the lack of such evidence and the overwhelming evidence in the other direction I am compelled to make this conclusion.
Note Bush is not challenging the guilty verdict. So at this stage he is still guilty. Yet he has let Scooter jump the queue of several thousand people who want the same consideration. This is not not a case of justice being seen to be done.
BTW I am outside the US voting system so I have no loyalty to either liberal or conservative camps.

However I am not sure whether I should respond here or create a new post the cut and paste all of this into it..
As I said I am happy with people disagreeing with me. I am also happy to listen to a convincing argument as to why I am wrong. if I am missing the any crucial information then I am happy to see it and asses it.
I hope that my tone in writing treats people with the same respectr that you have shown me. Therefore I am of the opnion that disagreeing is not the same as disrespect.
So with all due respect I reply.
If I am reading you correctly you say that GWB is clever because he can do something this clever.
My response would be: it looks to me to be a cunning plan. Cunning and brilliance are not the same thing. The underlying premise here is that the cunning should be rewarded regardless of legal and morality justice. The question should be asked as to whether this is a just decision or an expediant decision?
The other assumption is that I have called GWB a dolt. Since I don't have dinner with him at his private ranch and he hasn't invited me over for chess I have no idea how smart he is or is not.
However I am allowed to assume that his level of intelligence is no greater than the average Joe Schmo. Don't take this the wrong way I think the same about 99% of so called world leaders.

-Now for the actual thrust of My post.
I can only base my conclusions upon what I read, see and hear. Same as everyone else. I am not privy to what sources you have access to any more than you are privy to what sources I have access to. So therefore how would you know whether I am mindlessly echoing or writing with considered thought about the subject.
There will always be disputed facts in every story but there are also points of agreement.
Points not in dispute:
Scooter found guilty,
Scooter Commutted but guilty verdict is still in tact.
He still has to pay the fine and still has a criminal record.
Therefore he is still guilty in the eyes of the law.
Having followed this story for some months I am curious as to why such an action was taken by GWB. Hard questions should asked even if they can be resolved easily. That would prevent disquiet in the blogging world. Isn't it the duty of the ordinary folk to hold those in power to account?
- Me being outside the voting system in USA but commenting on its Personalities and Activities as if I do vote?
Fair enough if America was under glass and did nothing to effect the rest of the world. Fair enough if Australia was not involved in the same Iraq War which seems to at the heart of the Scooter Libby case. Fair enough if there were no questions about the evidence used to take our nations to war.
Even if none of these factors were involved then I would need to conceed that Freedom of Speech stops at the US border. Today I think I will say it does not.
-Vilifying Bush Camp? Lockstep with the Liberal agenda?
I call it health debate and part of the decratic process to question the leaders of the world. What use is their unchallenged power to me? So if handed evidence and I am able to process it, surely I can express an opinion about it. By disagreeing do I became 'Looney Left wing Liberal?' Hardly. To assume so would be to conclude all critics are enemies.
-Finally I could migrate to America so that I get a vote.
