Whats So Pfunny?

May 23rd 2008 11:49
Have you ever heard infectious laughter and couldn't keep yourself from getting caught up with it? It can't be done by this blogger, no way.

Something Cheeky
In the midst of a mind numbing struggle with sleep demons last night, I awoke to find myself levitating about . . . wrong blog, to find myself musing about a story I had heard on Coast to Coast am (C2C am) years ago. Thinking about the story had me choking on my pillow in my failing struggle to stop myself from waking up the missus, because the story is funny and the telling is riotous. And if I can't get no rest, you can't either and besides, my missus exiled me to the couch over this incident and I am still giggling for crying out loud. So, I googled until I found a copy of the story and here it is, lemme know if you like it or even remember it.

The setup: this short audio clip is from a radio show about a guy (Mike Childs) who is driving home calling his friend when he sees an accident. A guy ran a red light and hit a car with four old ladies inside. The guy gets out to go yell at the old ladies and manages to get pepper sprayed in the face followed with getting his ass whooped by the four old ladies.

But the best part is the guy who is describing the whole scene. He is totally enjoying watching these old ladies beating the crap out of this guy with umbrellas, pepper spray, purses and a cattle prod. His Louisiana accent will grab you and his laughter is totally contagious.

An aside: you'll need (shockwave installed) to play the recording but, it's funny and that makes it worthwhile. LINK To Story

Whilst pounding the crap from some whippersnapper.

Well, now you see what insomnia gets you . . .

Oh, for giggles, Ive got one.
recently in New Zealand a muslim woman went to use the atm. Some construction workers nearby were wolf whistling, so she calmly disrobed, used the atm, then put her clothes back on. When questioned over the incident, she merely replied, "I was so sick of them, I thought, I'll give them something to see!"

Hey Raven

Fantastic! I can understand your dilemma with the laughter, I know I couldn`t stop!

Having lived with my grandmother for the past 2 months I can SOOOOO see this happening!

Levitating? sorry, I was looking for something paranormal.

I'll be off, then. Is that you on one of the bikes?

You need to tone up.

What a crack up! Loved it... Best laugh so far today... Love the photo too... it's perfect! That's a story I'll be sharing with friends.

Katyzzz --- get a sense of humour, and if you can't say something nice, why bother taking the time and effort to say anything at all?

Hello fog, well the link should work until you get a chance to hear it for yourself. But, you fully caught the gist of the story, I just had to get up and give the long suffering missus some time to get back to sleep.

I'm the one with the sense of humour, Roni, get real, there are a lot of stupid people around here, sorry you felt compelled to join them.

Raven and I understand each other very well, he's my no.1 dude around here, wake up and use your brain, and if you ain't got no style, don't expect me to want to see you.

Shut up about ME, get it? You, and all the rest of the crappy fools around here, sorry Raven, some people should practice what they preach.

What was that Ronni said about me? ( or did he/she mean himself/herself)

HAHAHAHAHA

"Looks like Mother Goose!" HAHAHA

I was cackling along with that guy! Couldn't help it! Hilarious, Raven. And like Fog said, so was your image of uncontrollable laughter while trying not to wake up Tisha!

Kleo - had a good laugh at your story too!

"Ok, I gotta, I gotta go!"

'He's running to his car, he is OUT OF HERE!'

oh man, I dunno if this would be better had it been a video instead, it feels like a radio piece through and through.

Hello Michaelie, you've got it, the story gets to you on so many levels and that is part of the fun.

Ahmed, the new avatar is great. I can't help but think that you're right, the mental visual is far more enticing and entertaining than a video clip would be, well, that would depend upon the director I suppose.

I'm glad that my insomnia produced something positive.
